This three-week course provides Moodle™ site administrators with an introduction to Moodle™ Site administration. This experience is designed to allow administrators to optimize their site, navigate plugin databases, troubleshoot Tier 1 support questions, as well as how to make use of site level settings, roles, and functionalities to keep your site running smoothly. Additionally, this course also features a module on site theme options (Boost, Clean, and Fordson), some of the unique options within each theme, as well as examples of how theme customization can be used to create an innovative, inviting, and easy to navigate experience for your users.
This course is the first in a two-part administrator training offering and is ideal for those who hold a client administrator role on a site and full administrators who are new to Moodle™ site administration or seeking to brush up on skills and learn about new admin features.Whether you are teaching synchronously or asynchronously, this course is designed to provide you with the foundation to transform your face-to-face teaching practice to meet the needs and expectations of online learning. Together we will dive into topics including myths about online teaching and learning, developing an effective online instructional practice, needs of online learners, online course design practices, how to select and create activities in the online classroom, assessing online learners, and course management practices.
